The Residential Tenancies Act protects the rights of both Landlords and Tenants. It is important for Landlords and property managers to know how the RTA applies to their property and to ensure they are acting in the best interest of their tenants.
Sometimes even the best tenancies can become jeopardized. Job loss, death of a loved one, physical injury, etc. are all contributing factors to non-payment of rent or the breakdown of a Landlord-Tenant relationship. LLS will always attempt to resolve your Landlord-Tenant dispute through negotiation or alternative dispute resolution. When a resolution cannot be reached, LLS will be prepared to have your matter resolved before the Landlord Tenant Board or Small Claims Court.
